  • What makes The Heart State Nanny Agency different from other agencies?

Several things set us apart from other Columbus nanny agencies. Both of our founders were named Top 5 Finalists for INA Nanny of the Year 2026 by the International Nanny Association. We hosted International Nanny Training Day in Columbus in 2026, bringing professional development back to the city for the first time in nearly 15 years. We actively invest in the continuing education of the nannies we place, because a nanny who keeps growing is a better caregiver for your child. And our support doesn't end at placement. We are here for your family and your nanny throughout the relationship. That is what leading with heart actually looks like.

  • What if we don't want to pay the full placement fee but still need help?

We understand that some families may not require a full placement service but still need assistance with specific aspects of hiring a nanny. Our Custom Connections tier is designed for families who have found their own nanny candidate but want professional support with the placement process. This service includes a consultation on how to conduct effective interviews and onboarding, comprehensive background checks, and a tailored nanny-family work agreement that supports both parties. Contact us to learn more about this flexible option.

  • How long does the placement process take?

The timeline depends on your needs and nanny availability. Most families complete their nanny placement in 3–8 weeks, but longer timelines may apply for specialized or live-in roles.

  • Do you provide post-placement support?

Yes! We provide post-placement support including check-ins, resources, and personalized guidance.

  • Can you help us with a nanny contract?

We provide a customizable and comprehensive nanny-family work agreement to ensure clarity and protect both parties. These work agreements cover expectations, schedules, compensation, benefits, and much more.

  • How do I get started?

Getting started is easy! Fill out our family intake form and one of our team members will reach out to schedule a consultation. From there, we’ll guide you through the entire process to find your perfect nanny match.

  • What happens if the nanny we hire doesn't work out?

While we strive to ensure the best possible match, we understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. We offer a replacement guarantee within a specified period after placement, as outlined in your agreement with our agency.

  • How much do we have to pay our nanny?

The hourly rate for nannies will depend on the package tier you select. Each tier is designed to meet your family’s needs and includes nannies whose experience and qualifications match that level. Hourly rates for nannies in Columbus typically range from $20-$30 per hour or more, depending on tier, experience, and responsibilities.

  • What areas do you serve?

We serve Columbus and nearby cities including Dublin, Powell, Upper Arlington, Westerville, Worthington, New Albany, Granville, Bexley, German Village, and more. If you're searching for nanny services in Central Ohio, we’re here to help.
